Our Story
Rooted in History
For nearly a century, this corner of Main Street was home to the Holland Drug Company — a family-run pharmacy opened in the early 1890s and operated through three generations of the Holland family. It became a familiar gathering place and a backdrop to downtown life in Mount Holly, appearing in early photographs, parades, festivals, and countless everyday moments.
The Holland family continued to own the building for well over 120 years, carrying its history forward even as the space transitioned through different chapters after the pharmacy closed.
Today, The Holland brings new life to this historic space while honoring the legacy behind its name. The interior has been thoughtfully restored with seating along tall windows overlooking N Main Street and an upstairs level dedicated to private events. While the purpose of the building has changed, its heart remains the same: a place for connection, conversation, and community.

Opening The Holland has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. When I first walked into this old building on Main Street, I didn’t just see worn floors or quiet rooms, I saw a place waiting to come alive again.
